Restore your smile to an attractive, functional state. Porcelain bridges and single crowns are functional and durable with a natural appearance. Full and partial dentures are also available with a precision fit for enhanced stability and comfort. We are committed to providing a natural look and appearance that restores function and stability.

Periodontal Therapy (Gum Treatment)

Sore, bleeding gums indicate the beginnings of Periodontal Disease. If left untreated, discomfort, bad breath, and eventual tooth loss will result. Goodkin & Pilek Family Dentistry are skilled at treating various stages of gum disease to return your mouth to a healthy state.

Endodontics (Root Canals)

Occasionally, a tooth’s nerve chamber will become infected, requiring a root canal to save the tooth. This treatment cleans the infected chamber and repairs the damage, saving your natural tooth. Our office utilizes a procedure that is both comfortable and completed in less time than previous methods.

Emergency Care

We place special priority with all emergency needs. Should a dental emergency arise, call the office and we will make every effort to attend to your need quickly. If an emergency occurs after normal business hours, call our main office number and speak directly to the answering service who will forward your message immediately. Your will receive a call promptly. Dr. Howard Goodkin will also travel to the patient in special circumstances.

Healthy gums

Our hygienists are great. They are both thorough and gentle. They can help you create a custom preventive maintenance routine to keep healthy. If you have gum problems, we offer both non-surgical and surgical gum therapies.

Headaches, clenching, grinding teeth

Many people damage their teeth or give themselves headaches by grinding or clenching their teeth during their sleep. We offer a removable appliance worn at night to control clenching and grinding.

Cavity prevention and early detection

We use a dental xrays to detect cavities when they are small. The dental pick misses about 74% of these common cavities. Finding them when they are small allows you to have them fixed with the least amount of trouble or discomfort. We also offer adult fluoride treatments with your cleaning appointments. We have found this to be the best way to prevent cavities that form on the root surface that gets exposed if you have some gum recession. The root surface is about 700 times softer and more vulnerable to cavities than the tooth’s enamel. These type cavities are becoming common because through our other preventive measures people are able to keep their teeth through their lifetime and gum recession is common as we age.

Infection Control & Sterilization

Quality care in a meticulously, clean environment is a touchstone of our practice. We employ the latest, up to date sterilization techniques. All instruments are treated ultrasonically, bagged, and autoclaved individually for optimum sterilization. All surfaces in the operatories are disinfected after each patient.
