What are Dental Implants?
A Dental Implant is a lightweight titanium cylinder that is placed surgically into the jaw bone. It becomes the replacement root for a missing tooth. It takes 3-4 months for the Dental Implant to become secure to you jaw bone. Once secure, we can then build a custom made implant abutment (a post) and a porcelain crown. The number of missing teeth will determine the proper course of treatment. Whether it be a single implant crown, multiple implant crowns, an implant supported bridge or even an implant supported denture.
